The Backstory
Has been a hang-gliding launch site since the 1970s. The name means 'beautiful stone.' Part of Tijuca National Park. Used to train Brazilian Olympic hang gliders.
Local Secret
"Start early (7-8am) to avoid heat. The trail is moderate but has some steep sections. No entrance fee. Bring water and snacks. Watch hang gliders launch if you time it right (10am-2pm)."
